Hoosier Heartland Indiana, Plant Therapy host business resource roundtable | News

The Hoosier Heartland Indiana Small Business Development Center and Plant Therapy will team up to host a Logansport Business Resource Roundtable from 6 until 7 p.m. at Black Dog Coffee this Thursday, Sept. 21.

The roundtable discussion will give both new and veteran business owners an opportunity to network with other local business owners while learning about available classes and training.

The discussion will be led by Lita Rouser, business advisor at Hoosier Heartland Indiana, and Aly Irvin, owner of Plant Therapy and a MatchBOX Coworking Studio Champion.

“It’s going to be a very relaxed environment,” Irvin said. “We are all equals. We’re just going to have a discussion of things that people might need, resources that they might need, things they would like to see happening with Logansport businesses.”

Irvin is an advocate of working together. As a business owner she has created partnerships across Logansport, in Peru and Kokomo.

“I believe that working together is one of the strongest tools in the shed,” said Irvin. “When you are working together you learn things. You are able to access more information. People may have resources that can help others figure things out like taxes or how to start your LLC. Even down to things like insurance.”

MatchBOX Coworking Studio is located in Lafayette and is a 24/7 work and makerspace that is offering an accelerated course for those in surrounding counties who are first-time or early-stage entrepreneurs focused on crafting business pitches.
