BBFG Recent Accomplishments Week Ending April 18th, 2021

Shout out to the Women & Men of the Black Business Focus Group who are working hard to build strong businesses for themselves, their customers and the entire community. Each week we pause to highlight BOB Accomplishments, big and small, in an effort to keep us all “gassed up” as we collectively pursue the American Dream. Here’s a look at some of our many business members and their latest endeavors.

Congratulations are in order for Reginald Charles Adams, LLC on creating the largest public memorial in America honoring June 19, 1865 aka Juneteenth in Galveston, Texas as part of the Juneteenth Legacy Project. Reginald Charles Adams and his team of Artists Dantrel Boone, Cherry Meekins, Joshua Bennett Samson Bimbo Adenugba and Ka’Davien Baylor worked hard to complete the installation located on the wall at 22nd and Strand in Galveston, Texas. The public is welcome to join them as they dedicate the mural that was birthed to celebrate the continuing legacy of Juneteenth on Saturday June 19th, 2021.

“It’s truly an honor to use my talents as an artist and creative to document, elevate, and celebrate the rich history of Juneteenth through public art. We helped make history about the history of our people and now it’s accessible for the world to see.” Reginald Charles Adams.

Next time you are in Galveston, Texas be sure to drop by and visit the mural, take pictures and encourage your family and friends to do the same in honoring our heritage.
