People born in the Year of the Dragon are said to be creative, confident and curious. Some notable South Korean celebrities were born under this special and auspicious Chinese zodiac animal sign.

A number K-pop idols active in third-generation bands – formed between 2012 and 2017 – and fourth-generation bands, formed since 2018, were born in 2000, the Year of the Metal Dragon.

Several Korean celebrities born in 1976, another Year of the Dragon, including singer Kim Jong-kook and actors Cha Tae-hyun and Jang Hyuk formed a band of brothers they call Dragons Club. Together, they starred in Korean reality-TV travel show Couriers in Mongolia in 2023.
Veteran actor Han Suk-kyu, who has impressed viewers with his role as top surgeon Master Kim in the Dr. Romantic K-drama series, was born in 1964, the Year of the Wood Dragon.
