Financial Inequities and People With Disabilites


The House Financial Services Committee Subcommittee on Diversity and Inclusion convened a hearing with a panel of disability rights advocates to examine inequities in the financial system for people with disabilities. Several topics were discussed, including access to housing, employment opportunities and job training, access to capital and credit, and barriers to economic inclusion. They also addressed the growing number of people newly-disabled due to “long-COVID” and the challenges they have faced in the workplace and access to services. close
