Netflix has announced the release date of its inaugural Brazilian children’s series, “Luz,” which will premiere on February 7th.

The much-anticipated show introduces viewers to Luz, played by Marianna Santos, a brave orphan of non-Indigenous ancestry raised in Brazil’s Indigenous Kaingang community by Ga, played by Claudia Di Moura.

When Luz, at the age of nine, discovers a crucial clue about her mysterious past, the series takes an interesting turn. Curiosity drives her on a captivating journey to uncover the mysteries surrounding her origins, aided by her trusted firefly companion. The official trailer for the show gives viewers a taste of Luz’s challenging yet thrilling journey.

Marianna Santos leads the stellar cast, which includes Celso Frateschi, Claudia di Moura, and a slew of talented actors. As Luz enters a boarding school, she forms bonds with unusual friends, banding together to explore the depths of her true identity.
