Houston’s fifth annual Latin Restaurant Weeks returns Friday, this time featuring 80 locations.

Karinn Chavarria and Warren Luckett, one of the founders of the Black Restaurant Week campaign, started Latin Restaurant Weeks in 2019 to give aspiring Hispanic entrepreneurs and culinary professionals a bigger platform.

They have since partnered with the Feed the Soul Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting marginalized culinary business owners, and expanded beyond Houston to New York City, Atlanta, Chicago and Miami.

This year, Latin Restaurant Weeks has partnered with more than just restaurants.

There are five coffee shops: Segundo Coffee Lab, Oso Coffee, Tenfold Coffee Company and Campesino Coffee; two bakeries: El Globo Bakery and Sweets by Belen; and Houston’s first Latin-owned brewery, Turkey Forrest Brewing, among the other eateries working with LRW.

The will begin on Friday July 7 and end on July 21.

More information is available on the Latin Restaurant Weeks website.
