Beyoncé’s surprising Super Bowl commercial teased her new album, ‘Act II.’ The commercial showed the star undertaking many “firsts” for Verizon, culminating in the grand reveal of her new music.

The Houston singer announced the album’s release via an Instagram video, which featured her driving a taxi with the license plate “Texas HOLD’EM” and a yodeling tune playing on the radio.

The Grammy award-winning singer’s artistic foray into country music was validated with the release of two singles: the lively banjo-driven ‘Texas Hold ‘Em‘ and the quieter, country-tinged ‘16 Carriages.’

The latter expresses Beyoncé’s creative journey and unwavering light. Fans, who had speculated that she may delve into the country genre, were overjoyed with her unexpected musical direction.

‘Act II’ is scheduled for release on March 29th, promising a new chapter in Beyoncé’s storied career with a distinct country flavor.
