Best Pitch Competitions for Turning Your Idea Into a Brand – Blogging Tips & Events for Content Creators Everywhere

The purpose behind your brand may not be money but let’s be real—money is an important resource whether it’s a few dollars for maintaining your social media accounts or a large-scale budget for your team. Funding opportunities are always available but securing them isn’t always easy. Sometimes you have to go above and beyond to stand out in a large pool of entrepreneurs. Sometimes simply finding the time to research money opps is difficult. The upside of the best pitch competitions is that although the stakes are usually high, you have time to work on your presentation.

Naturally, with just a few weeks left in the year, most 2020 pitch contests have come and gone. However, if you want to get a head start on your 2021 money grab, here are some pitch competitions to put on your business calendar.

BGV calls this initiative a “crowdfunding meets pitch” competition where, in front of a digital audience, founders are given just three minutes to pitch an idea and another three minutes to answer questions from a panel of judges.

Mark your calendar for January 25, 2021, the deadline for the next quarterly pitch competition for female founders. If you win over the panel of judges—which includes Bethenny Frankel and Arlan Hamilton so far—you’ll be eligible to attend a bigger in-person competition a few months later.

The winners of this annual small business contest are awarded a cash prize to help build out their business and scale profits. Make sure you sign up for email alerts to know when the next competition date is announced.

Applications open in April 2021 for this startup competition, whose winners get $50,000 non-dilutive grants and more resources. There’s only one catch: you must be willing to headquarter your business in St. Louis where Arch is located for one year.

Come correct for this global competition, that delivers a six-figure prize, mentorship, and worldwide exposure to the startup brand owner with a business that solves a payment challenge for its customer.

Keep your eyes peels for the next contest from Moment’s creator initiative. Winners get micro-grants and free gear that can be used for marketing, content creation, and more.

The National Black MBA Association hosts this challenge yearly to support startup founders who want to scale their business ideas. Multiple cash prizes are given and in most cases, the exposure from this event could lead to face time with potential investors.
